Rainy season

Write a new post in response to today’s one-word promptWater

It’s rainy season here in Japan. This season sucks but also it’s important to save water in a dam to prevend from short water.

When I was 10 year old, Japan hit short water and most of crops weren’t harvested. We like to eat rice and Japan had to import rice from east northern Asia country.

My family had rice field and all gone. Since I was born, I’d eaten only rice from the field. I was so shocked to have it. It tasted different and it didn’t suit with Japanese dish for me.

I appreciate rainy season! It’s blessed rain ☔️

Deprive

Write a new post in response to Deprive !

Having peaceful mind is difficult by this stressful society. Work makes us busier than some years ago due to developed IT. Quick reaction to customers is the best ! We can’t leave smartphone of work when we are off duty .

I am concerned about SNS,too. Some people always care about other’s reaction on Facebook, Insagram, tweeter and etc. Sometimes that hurts us and we are in trouble because self-inflicted wound. I am the one who care about people’s reaction on Wardpress because I’m worried about my English and I want to know how much people understand my post.

People is likely to feel to be judged by other and it deprives us of peaceful mind including me.

Now I’m reading a book about Buddhism. In the book, we become delusional and judge people, so naturally we think about ideas that won’t be happened. Literally this is ridiculous but I do everyday. Once I read the part, I started to practice not to listening to voice in my head and if I do it, I label the emotion and think about where it comes from. By the practice, my mind is calmer than before.

SNS and IT are great evolutions. Let’s treat them well and enjoy yourself using them 🙂

 Fence

Write a new post in response to today’s one-word prompt Fence.

Regarding Fence, I remember one photo my friend showed me. It was a photo of US and Mexico border where has bars.  My Japanese friend is living in Mexico and he said “It’s so close to San Diego, however, life here and the bars on the other side are way different to some people in Mexico. ”

Not only Mexican, but I heard a lot of people from central and south America want to live in the US and try to cross the borders. It must be hard and there are a lot of hard things ahead. Nevertheless, it’s worth a try to them to change there life and for their kids and grandkids.

The other day, I watched a valedictorian speech in the US and she revealed that she is undocumented. Her family has kept trying to get citizenship but it haven’t done well. She made an effort on her study and still might feel scared to be deported, too. I really don’t know how American treat her, but I wish her all the best for her bright future.

I am living in Island country, so a foreign country is always far from here. Not many Japanese try to move out of Japan. I have to have gratitude for my country and my situation.

Italian Japanese noodle!

Today’s dinner was Japanese noodle which is called “Soumen” thin wheat noodles. Usually Japanese likes to eat Soumen in the summer dipped into Soumen soup.  Please check the detail of Soumen at Wikipedia.

It’s so healthy and low calorie.  This time I didn’t made spaghetti and use Somen instead with tomato, eggplant, zucchini, onion, garlic, Tuna and consommé. Exept Soumen,  you can cook spaghetti with the ingredients.

I gently fried the ingredients and just put them on top of the boiled Soumen with basil in my garden. Actually the ingredients and Soumen are good combination.More veggies and less Soumen are good blance.

Voyage

Write a new post in response to Voyage.

I’ve had some points to voyage in my life so far.

1. When I left my hometown.

I remembered I was very exited to start living in a big city and started living alone was a good experience. I was a girl-next-door type and suddenly life has changed and it was so sparkle.  Trains run in my hometown by 8pm. School rules were stricted. When I was in high school,  we were bunned to go to Karaoke with friends and I did lines due to relaxed hair, etc. I still don’t get school rules. That’s why my new life was amazing.

2. When I decided to live in Canada.

After college, I worked for 2 years in logistics field, but I couldn’t give up living overseas. So, I took working holiday visa and moved to Toronto, Canada. The visa was valied for only 1 year,  so I really needed to map out plans over there. Firstly, I went to language school to learn English and I also took a barista course and learned  how to make coffee, Latte and so on. After 3 months school,  I started to work at a coffee shop. I dropped in for an unannounced visit to many places to hand out my résumé. Eventually, I wasn’t scared to communicate with people in English and made friends and good coworkers. It was perfect an year.

3. When I got married to my husband.

We’ve got married 3 years ago. He’s been a wonderful husband. During 3 years, we’ve gone through fertility treatment and family issue. It never be easy to deal with them.  We are great but people in our family had problems and it wiped us out. As result, we won out and will be parents coming October. It’s still long way to go but We are looking forward to seeing a baby  and new life with a kid.

Life is unexpected all the time. That’s why it’s fun and to enrich your life  and move you one step further on.

Awe

Awe is not familiar word for me. I checked the meaning and one thing I came up with related to Awe.

The other day, TOKYO Govonor have resigned due to misusing political funds for private purposes. It’s really regrettable to do it because the political funds was tax people paid. In the lead-up to his resignation, he was accused of speeding public money on family trips, dozens of pieces of art, and even comic books. Of course he faced intense questioning from legislators about his spending.

I am awed by his spending .  Spending public money is not right thing to do, however he didn’t say apology one iota. I am awed by him. How people can do that and act like that.? Were there any ways to stop him by his family or his co-workers? I’m very sad that he’s an evil.

Empty

Empty sounds lonely and hopeless to me. I can imagine negative feelings.

Everyone has problems in own life and sometimes people can’t unveil it to other. Most of people fight with it everyday.

To live with conform, people really need to empty their mind and reset briefly and back to the reality. Having on-off switch make people feel better.
